Hello to all our members and
welcome to the Autumn edition of
        SUPPORT.
Our branch had a very busy
        summer. The Holiday Respite Centre
opened in May; all our patients with
their families enjoyed the fabulous Newtown school girls
weather and their holiday in Tramore. Members of West Waterford Harley Davidson group had their machines on display on the day\
           Our Church gate collections in
Tramore, Fenor and Co. Waterford in
June were very successful again this
year. Many thanks to all who helped
over the different weekends – your
        time and effort are greatly
appreciated. ‘Thank you’ to all who
        supported our collection.
A family Fun Day was held again
        this year at Newtown, Kilmacthomas
in July and was another great success.
        ‘Thank you’ to the Committee
        members, including our branch
        Chairman Ray Halligan, everyone
involved in organising this day, those
who sponsored the events and all who
        supported the day.
We had a fundraising day at
        SuperValu, Tramore Road, Waterford,
in July. Many thanks to our volunteers
and all who supported this collection.
Our Annual 10K Walk was held on
        Sunday, August 27th from Carrickbeg
to Portlaw. ‘Thank you’ to Eddie
        Sullivan who organised this event
again this year, and to all our walkers,
runners, everyone who gave The under age races got lots of entries.
sponsorship and all our helpers on the
                                                                       The Daniels and Connors families
day. We would also like to thank the
proprietor of The Forge Inn, Portlaw,
who supplied tea and coffee following
the walk. Thanks also to everyone
who made sandwiches and cakes –
        they were enjoyed by all.
Our next meeting will be held at
        the Edmund Rice Centre, Barrack
        Street, Waterford, on Tuesday October
24th at 7.30pm. All are welcome,
including family and friends. Gerard Jordan, Richard Briscoe.
