James Reynolds – European Transplant & Dialysis Sports Championships 2014

James Reynolds

My name is James Reynolds, I am from Tallaght in Dublin and I am 27 years old. I had to start dialysis when I was 18 and thankfully, after 5 years I received a kidney transplant in the summer of 2009. The second chance that my donor has given me has really transformed my daily life. I went from having to take breaks going up the stairs, enduring a very tight fluid restriction and having to attend a Dialysis unit 3 times a week for 4 hours of dialysis treatment each time to living a healthy and active life.

I am currently gearing towards my fifth time to represent Ireland in international transplant sports. My aim at this year’s European Transplant & Dialysis Sports Championships in Krakow, Poland (August 16th-23rd) is to further my medal haul. Participation in the Championships offers a uniquely positive way to showcase the success of organ donation and transplantation.

In order to represent my country, and my Donor, in Poland I need sponsorship and I am asking for any help towards this adventure you can give. THANK YOU!
